Have you ever noticed that throughout the day, while refreshing your timeline or newsfeed, there’s always at least half a dozen influencers or sponsored posts trying to persuade you to visit the latest primetime hotspot or purchase whatever new product they’re pushing that week? One question that instantly comes to my mind is how do these social media-savvy accounts always find the right time to enhance their traffic and likes, and how can I achieve similar results for my own business?

After taking a leap of faith and deciding to use social media to help market and promote your business, you still might have a sense of uncertainty about various aspects of the job. Even after deciding on the types of posts you’ll be sharing and your intended audience, you still need to know when the best times to post on social media are.

With more than 3.48 billion active social media users online at any given point throughout the day, there is no end-all and be-all timeframe for posting that reflects every social media platform universally.

But don’t fret, I’ve taken the time to breakdown the best times of day for new Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram posts, to ensure that your posts are receiving engagement and share numbers like you’ve never seen before!

Seventy-six percent of Facebook’s total users are said to use the site at least once a day, making it the most widely accessed social media platform on a daily basis. This can mean that by sharing your business’ posts on Facebook, you have the potential to receive the greatest number of views.

According to CoSchedule, posting at 3pm will help you receive the most clicks on your posts, while uploading a new post at 1pm will allow your business to receive the most shares.

While the number of characters might be limited, there are no limitations to the impact your posts can have on Twitter. Despite having suffered a three percent loss of active Twitter users worldwide, the number of users in the United States grew to 55.2 million in 2018.

To better engage these users, Hubspot suggests that the hours of 12pm, and between 5pm and 6pm are the best times to maximize your business’ retweets and click interactions.

Unlike Facebook and Twitter, the daily audience of Instagram accesses the site predominately on their mobile devices. Because of this fact, your intended viewers are most likely working a traditional nine to five job.

In accordance with this, HubSpot suggests that the best time to post on Instagram is between the hours of 1pm and 5pm These hours correspond with a traditional lunch hour and post-work commute, where people might be found scrolling through their feeds, rather than engaging in awkward interactions with their coworkers.

Now that you know the best times to post on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, the clock is ticking! I can’t wait to see how you take advantage of your social media presence to help enhance your brand and continue to build a loyal customer base.
